Alex Rowbotham is a freelance designer/consultant with more than 20 years experience in media design including Internet, CD Rom, interactive kiosks, video and audio visual presentations. The projects undertaken have been for a broad spectrum of European clients and end users. An Englishman, trained in London, with fixed addresses in Cornwall UK, Bolzano and Rome Italy. He travels as and when projects demand, whether they are regional, national, European or internationally based. Recent commissions include:

Alex is creative director of the Painting with Light Festival working with Luce Dipinta Cultural Association (Italy). He has received several international awards in recognition for contributions to audio visual design including, a Gold Award from the Association of Multi-media International (AMI) for an interactive CD Rom produced for ENI in 1995/6, it was at the time considered to be breaking new grounds for the delivery of digital content. It also received 5 Production Awards for Art Direction, Direction, Conceptual Design, Graphic Concepts and Interactive Design.

The continual development of skills and a broad but specialist software/hardware knowledge base is important, especially within the digital design arena in keeping pace with the natural trends and demands within the industry. This has led to the ability to tackle new challenges and embrace new developments as and when they arise.
