TERMS and CONDITIONS

Payments are to be received by us before commencement of any work. Your 12 months start from the first day your page goes on-line. The full cost of this service is outlined in reply to you filling out the application form.

Additional pages are charged at 50% of the first page fees. Text changes are FREE once per month. Future image replacements or changes will be charged for per item and will depend upon how they are supplied (see below). Text/copy should be supplied in the body of an e-mail and not as an attachment (we do not accept Word.doc files). Translations of text into other languages can be arranged for a fee. Translations supplied to Artsake should also be in the body of an e-mail. These 'duplicate' translated pages will be provided at a cost of 10% of the original page/s, and is chargeable regardless of amount of time remaining of the 12 month period, and will be chargeable again at the renewal date. Artsake take no responsibility for accuracy of text supplied in languages other than UK English. Please check then recheck the spelling, it's amazing how easy it is to miss something!

Additional charges will be due if you choose to have a personalised domain name 'pointing' at your page/s. We can arrange a personalised domain for you if you wish for a small registration and administration fee. The free monthly text updates will be done at a time that is suitable to Artsake, time and dates may vary from month to month.

Images must conform to the following:
a) supplied by e-mail as attachments,
b) 72dpi; JPEG files (*.jpg ) at maximum quality
c) PC compatible (files should have an extension if created with a MAC)
d) File names should not contain CAPS and only letters and numbers
e) longest side to measure between 600 and 700 pixels.
f) Please make sure the quality of your ORIGINAL slide or photograph is suitably high before scanning. It is usually best to have any photographs taken by professional photographers, Most of whom will now supply you with digital images. If you require such a service we may be able to suggest a photographer or studio for you.
g)If you intend to do your own photography please notes the following criteria:
a. Even lighting, avoid flourescent lights and mixing of tungsten and daylight. If in doubt use natural daylight on a bright cloudy day to avoid unecessary shadows.
b. Remember that we cannot colour correct your images as we have no access to the original, it is therefore in your best interest to check this before you send them.
c. Direct flash will only give you a hotspot on your work and give harsh shadows.
d. Use a tripod and turn off your flash, set camera to maximum size jpeg files.
e. Make sure you are square to the subject so that the resulting image does not have perspective that will distort your work.
f. In the case mounted works, remove from frames and from behind glass before photography, to avoid shadows and reflections.
g. Frames will not be included in the final images on the Artsake website.

Additional fees may be added if the above points are not adhered to. This is to cover any extra time it takes to make corrections.

Artsake reserve the right to change the prices (except on works of art), details, contents and links within this web site without notice.

*Artsake does not guarantee that sales will be made directly online, however the exposure gained has proved to be a large contributing factor in sales being made between artists and collectors. These web pages are an addition to the artists' or their agent's ongoing, proactive marketing strategy, and the traditional exhibition, and not meant as a replacement.
